一.The raw materials used for heat transfer printing and self-adhesive labels are different. The raw materials for heat transfer labels are typically thermal paper or PET film, which are characterized by high print quality and realistic effects. On the other hand, the raw materials for self-adhesive labels are paper or plastic films coated with adhesive, which have strong adhesion and are suitable for applications that require attachment to different material surfaces.
二.The printing method for heat transfer labels involves the transfer of ink from a heat ribbon onto the label material through the application of heat and pressure, offering advantages such as speed, efficiency, and low cost. It is suitable for both monochrome and color printing. On the other hand, self-adhesive labels can adopt various printing methods, including offset printing, letterpress printing, flexographic printing, and digital printing, resulting in clearer and more durable printing effects.
三.Due to their thin material, heat transfer labels are especially suitable for situations that require printing labels with variable content, such as barcode labels, logistics labels, and pharmaceutical labels. On the other hand, self-adhesive labels, with their strong adhesive properties, are suitable for harsher environments and are widely used in various fields such as outdoor signage, product packaging, and barcodes.
四.The cost of heat transfer printing is relatively low, especially for small-batch printing. However, as the printing volume increases, the cost of heat transfer printing rises relatively. On the other hand, the cost of self-adhesive labels is relatively higher, but they are suitable for mass production.
In summary, although heat transfer printing and self-adhesive labels are both common methods for label production, they have distinct differences. The choice of production method should be determined based on specific circumstances.
