The fabric determines the process. At present, there are four main types of digital printing:
(1) Sublimation of polyester fabrics: This is the most popular process at present; because the investment threshold is low and the printing process is simple, general printing factories will be equipped with it as a supplement to screen printing; only one printer and heat transfer machine are required. , as well as sublimation ink and thermal transfer paper. At present, thermal transfer printing is developing in the direction of high speed and wide width. For example, the transfer paper of Beaver paper can be 3.2 meters wide;
(2) Reactive digital printing of pure, hemp, viscose, etc. Compared with polyester thermal transfer printing, active digital printing is more complicated and requires pretreatment, printing, steaming, water-based, qualitative, etc.;
(3) Nylon acid digital printing;
(4) Pigment direct-injection printing; such as KORNIT digital direct-injection printing machine;
Currently polyester is printed on paper and then thermally transferred to cloth. Nylon also works, but there are a few shades where the color fastness is not ideal, especially to light. Cotton and silk are usually printed directly on the fabric and cost about twice as much as polyester.
